Alain ZARLI

Dr Alain ZARLI is Head of the "Innovation and Services Engineering" Division within the ICT department at CSTB (Centre Scientifique & Technique du Bâtiment). His division develops methodologies and tools in the fields of ICT-supported energy efficient buildings, Ambient Assisted Living (AAL), information systems for asset management and risk-based management, and for collaborative process in Construction.

Involved in many projects of the European Framework Programmes (FP4 Esprit, FP5 IST, FP6 and FP7 IST and NMP), he is a key actor in the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP) and the Energy-efficient Buildings (EeB) PPP, being one of the main authors of the ECTP “Processes & ICT” Focus Area Strategic research Agenda, and of the EeB Multi-Annual Plan for future integrated European R&D in the Construction sector. He is coordinator of the REEB project, establishing the European vision and roadmap for future R&D in ICT supporting E nergy Efficiency in the Built environment.
